Azure AI Foundry Cost Tracking

Get full visibility into your Azure AI spend across all model families. Grafient queries the Azure Cost Management API to surface per-model costs for GPT, DeepSeek, Llama, Mistral, Grok, Phi, Cohere, and marketplace models like Claude - with token direction breakdowns and daily trends.

Azure Cost Management

Complete visibility into your Azure AI Foundry costs

Grafient captures every data point from the Azure AI Foundry billing API so nothing slips through the cracks.

1

Cost per model

Break down Azure AI Foundry spend across every deployed model - GPT-4o, DeepSeek R1, Llama 4, Mistral Large, Grok, Phi, and more. See which models and vendors account for the bulk of your bill.

2

Input vs output cost split

Azure meters separate input and output token costs. Grafient surfaces this split so you can see whether your spend is prompt-heavy or completion-heavy and optimize accordingly.

3

Multi-vendor model coverage

Azure AI Foundry hosts 18+ model families from OpenAI, DeepSeek, Meta, Mistral, xAI, Microsoft, Cohere, and more. Grafient tracks them all automatically - new model families are captured without configuration changes.

4

Marketplace models (Claude & more)

Models deployed via Azure Marketplace (like Anthropic Claude) are billed separately as SaaS. Grafient queries both billing tracks and merges them into a single unified view.

Start tracking in under 2 minutes

Three steps to connect Azure AI Foundry to Grafient.

1

Register a Service Principal

In the Azure Portal, go to Microsoft Entra ID > App registrations and register a new application. Copy the Tenant ID and Client ID.

2

Create a client secret and assign Reader role

Generate a client secret for the app, then assign the Reader (or Cost Management Reader) role to the Service Principal on your subscription.

3

Connect to Grafient

Open Grafient, add a new Azure AI Foundry integration, and enter your Tenant ID, Client ID, Client Secret, and Subscription ID. All credentials are encrypted at rest.

Requires a Service Principal (app registration) with Reader access on your Azure subscription. Grafient only reads cost data - no access to your prompts, completions, or deployed models.
