Grafient uses Holt's double exponential smoothing method to project your costs forward. Unlike simple moving averages, this method accounts for both the level and the trend in your spending data — so if your costs are growing week over week, the forecast reflects that acceleration instead of lagging behind reality.

Every forecast includes upper and lower confidence bounds that widen over time, reflecting increasing uncertainty in longer-range predictions. Know the range of likely outcomes, not just a single point estimate. This helps finance teams plan for best-case and worst-case scenarios when budgeting for AI infrastructure costs.

Each integration gets its own independent forecast. See projected totals alongside accrued costs and period-over-period change for every connected provider. Compare forecasted growth rates across Anthropic, OpenAI, and other providers to understand where your AI spend is heading and which integrations need attention.

Projections extend forward by half your selected time range, with a minimum forecast window of 3 days. Select a 30-day history to get a 15-day forecast, or a 90-day history for a 45-day outlook. Longer history means more data points for the smoothing algorithm, producing more reliable and stable forecasts.
